Economist Mediterranean Leadership Summit Speech

At this global summit, hosted in Malta in 2016, the Economist magazine sought to create a unique environment for knowledge sharing, partnership building, business entrepreneurship and innovation, among the leaders of government, business, finance and academia from across the world.

Dr Christian Kälin, CEO and Chairman of Henley & Partners, spoke at the event from the point of view of citizenship-by-investment (CBI). Charting a history of CBI that goes back to biblical times, Kälin spoke about residence and citizenship as a new form of ‘economic good’ with which “countries and investors increase their competitiveness”.
