The Sunday Times Magazine journalist, John Arlidge, traveled to Antigua to see first-hand the sociopolitical impact of the successful citizenship-by-investment program in operation there. In this article, which features reportage based on interviews with Dr. Christian Kälin, local Antiguans, and the Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne, Arlidge found much to be positive about. In the words of Dr. Kälin, who spearheaded the formation and development of the citizenship-by-investment industry, programs such as the one offered by Antigua are a clear demonstration of “globalization at its best”.
